Our Story
1. The Spark: Behind the Gears

It all started on a Saturday morning in 2025. Three friends, all experienced riders, headed out for a challenging trail ride in northern Israel. In the middle of a grueling climb, one of us tried to shift gears under heavy load. The result? A snapped chain, a bent derailleur, and a ride that ended much sooner than planned.
At that moment, we asked ourselves: "How is it that in 2026, cars can drive themselves, but cyclists still have to struggle with manual shifters and guess the perfect moment to change gears?"
We decided to establish AutoCyc with one mission: to bring the revolution of automation to every pair of bikes, without requiring riders to replace the gear they already own and love.
